The Windfall Centre is a non-profit, community interest company which provides therapeutic support to children and young people facing a wide range of challenges which can include concerning behaviours, attachment difficulties and developmental trauma. Our core models of therapy include Play Therapy and Filial Therapy. Lead therapists are British Association of Play Therapists full members and hold the title of BAPT Registered Play Therapist ®, as well as certification in Filial Therapy and the higher level qualifications of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy (EAIP) and Psychology. Through these modalities, we are able to offer a range of evidence-based therapeutic programmes to meet the individual and complex needs of children, young people and their families.

Windfall therapists chose their line of work based on a deep commitment to making the lives of children and families the best they can be. Our lead therapists have expertise and practice in the field of children’s and young people’s mental and emotional health and development, including Play Therapy, Child Psychotherapy and therapeutic work with families. Through our clinics in Powys and Carmarthenshire, we offer advice and training to caregivers, professionals, children and young people.  We also offer therapeutic guidance and support to expectant parents and to adoptive parents through pre and post adoption programmes. Our senior practitioners provide clinical supervision to qualified therapists and students, and consultancy support and assessment to children and families facing adversity and to those professionals working for their benefit in Wales.
