Sharon-Louise Pullen

Art Psychotherapist

Sharon has been a qualified, state registered Art Psychotherapist since 2001. She is a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has completed a two-year psychoanalytic infant observation course affiliated with the Tavistock Clinic in London and with Herefordshire CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service), which has further informed her knowledge of a child’s early attachment and emotional and cognitive development.

She has worked within many challenging environments including charities dealing with brain injuries and palliative care and within adult mental health and women’s forensic services within the NHS.

Her experiences with children and young people have been based within educational settings and in specialist and residential units dealing with emotional and behavioural difficulties including autism and eating disorders.

Sharon is a practicing artist using photography, film and painting and has exhibited and worked to commissions.

She has continued to support young people within the community, having been a governor for five years at a local primary school and supported youth organisations such as the Scouts.
